For third graders, discovering a new word can open the door to a whole new world. That's the opportunity the Dickinson Rotary Club recently gave area third grade students by handing out dictionaries during its annual Dictionary Project. In October, Rotarians went into third grade classrooms to present a short lesson on the use of dictionaries and to give each student their own dictionary, a generous gift from the Dickinson Rotary Club. Our Rotary Club is very focused on literacy in our communities, Rotarian Mary Massad said via press release.
